Academy Life

The Bourne Education Trust are committed to learning about Black History and sharing experiences which extend beyond one monthn of the year. They arranged for some of our year 6 pupils to go to Jubilee High School to watch a performance of the Caribbean Tales and hear actor, Suzanna Bygrave, tell her Grandmother's story as part of the Windrush Generation.

In conjunction with funding from Surrey County Council we have had sud planters fitted across the school environment. They are designed to manage rainwater runoff sustainably in urban environment. They help mange surface water, improve water quality and create, greener, more climate resilient spaces. They are an education tool for creating opportunities around water and why it matters.
