Embracing Technology for the Future

At Pyrcroft Grange Primary School, we are proud to be a forward-thinking community where every aspect of learning has the opportunity to be enhanced by technology. Through innovative tools and inclusive digital platforms, we ensure that every child can access the curriculum, develop essential digital skills, and prepare for the future with confidence. Our approach reflects our school motto — Dream, Believe, Work, Achieve — as we empower all pupils to dream big, believe in themselves, work hard, and achieve success in an ever-evolving digital world.

Digital Strategy

Intent

At Pyrcroft Grange Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child can access a rich, inclusive, and forward-thinking curriculum enhanced by technology. Our digital strategy is designed to empower all pupils to achieve success in an increasingly digital world.

Technology is not an add-on, but an integral part of our curriculum design. It is woven throughout all areas of learning to support adaptive teaching, remove barriers, and promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. We believe that all pupils—regardless of background or ability—should have the opportunity to develop the digital skills and confidence needed for life and work in the 21st century.

Our vision is to nurture pupils who are digitally literate, responsible, and innovative users of technology, ready to take their place as global citizens in a rapidly changing world.

Implementation

Our digital strategy underpins the effective delivery of teaching and learning across the school. Through purposeful use of technology, we strive to make learning engaging, inclusive, and adaptive to individual needs.

  • Adaptive Learning and Inclusion:

Technology enables teachers to personalise learning so that all pupils can access and succeed within the curriculum. Tools such as Microsoft Reading Progress, Arbor, and NFER Analysis help staff to identify individual needs, track progress, and tailor support effectively.

  • Seesaw Learning Platform:

Seesaw is embedded across our school as a tool for capturing, sharing, and celebrating learning. Pupils can demonstrate understanding in a range of creative ways—through photos, voice recordings, videos, and digital annotations. This builds independence, reflection, and pride in their achievements.

  • Digital Literacy and Computing Curriculum:

Our computing curriculum combines Mr P ICT D.A.R.E.S projects and Project Evolve to develop technical knowledge, creativity, and online safety. Pupils learn to code, communicate, and collaborate effectively, while understanding how to use technology responsibly and safely.

  • Staff Development and Innovation:

Continuous professional development ensures that staff are confident, capable, and reflective in their use of digital tools. Regular training on platforms such as Seesaw, CPOMS, NFER, and Arbor ensures consistency and quality of digital practice across the school.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Future Readiness:

We are exploring the safe, ethical and purposeful use of AI to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment. Our school is working towards AI and Digital Accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and the continuous improvement of our digital offer.

Impact

Our digital strategy ensures that technology has a tangible, positive impact on learning outcomes, inclusion, and pupil engagement.

  • All pupils can access the full curriculum through adaptive, inclusive technology.
  • Technology enriches learning across subjects, promoting curiosity, independence, and problem-solving.
  • Pupils are equipped with the digital literacy and critical thinking skills necessary for secondary education and beyond.
  • Teachers use technology to deliver adaptive, responsive lessons that promote progress for all learners.
  • Our school is recognised as a digitally confident and forward-thinking community that values innovation, inclusion, and excellence.

At Pyrcroft Grange Primary School, technology empowers every learner to be creative, independent, and future-ready. Through our evolving digital strategy, we ensure that all pupils have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in a connected world.
