Academy Life

Earlier this academic year, we were fortunate enough to secure a Climate Resilience Grant from Surrey CC to help improve our school's infrastructure and to mitigate against the rising challenges from flooding, overheating, and other climate impacts. We applied for a Green Wall with the aim of reducing heat risk in classrooms. Our living wall will absorb heat and cool the surrounding air, whilst reducing heat transfer into classrooms. This should create a more comfortable learning environment and reduce the likelihood of heat-related disruption to teaching time.
