Our Key Stage 2 pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic performance of Macbeth by the Guildford Shakespeare Company, as part of the Delight in Shakespeare project.

This initiative helps to spark children’s enthusiasm for drama and storytelling, while also giving them valuable experience with classic literature. It ensures that by the time pupils move on to secondary school, they already have a strong foundation in Shakespeare’s work.

Following the performance, Year 5 took part in a drama workshop led by the company, developing their own acting skills and deepening their understanding of the play. The hall was filled with energy and excitement as the children brought scenes to life.

In class, Year 5 are continuing to explore the text of Macbeth, and later this term we look forward to welcoming parents into school to enjoy their own performance of the play.
