Headteachers Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

The school is moving towards normality with all children returning to school in September. We are looking forward to seeing the children’s smiles and filling the classrooms with chatter and giggles. Even though we are welcoming back all pupils and families there will be some key safety measures that will be in place;

  • Children stay in year group bubbles
  • Children have staggered drop off and collection times
  • Parents come on site for a pre-booked appointment only
  • Children and staff wash hands on entering school and throughout the day

Whilst the school has been closed the whole school community has pulled together by effective communication from senior leadership team and class teachers. We will continue to build upon this and are always open to feedback from parents and carers.

In September we will be offering the children a “recovery curriculum”. Initially, we will be focusing upon re-building positive school relationships and re-igniting children's passion for learning and positive attitudes to learning. We are aware that the children have missed curriculum coverage from the previous year. Assessment for learning will be driving teaching, with quality time spent teaching key knowledge and skills.

We are looking forward to opening our doors to our amazing pupils in school and in the nursery on Thursday 3rd September. Our new Reception pupils will be starting full time on Tuesday 8th September.

Kind regards

Sue Nardoni
