Arts Mark

We are delighted to have been awarded Artsmark Gold status, recognising the outstanding strength of arts and cultural education at Pyrcroft Grange Primary School. This prestigious award reflects our commitment to placing creativity at the heart of our curriculum, where the arts enrich learning, raise attainment and strengthen wellbeing. Throughout our Artsmark journey, we have developed a carefully sequenced and inclusive curriculum, expanded opportunities for performance and collaboration, and significantly increased staff confidence and expertise. Our pupils benefit from high-quality partnerships with professional artists and cultural organisations, enabling them to create, perform and showcase their work both within school and in the wider community. Importantly, we have demonstrated measurable impact, including improved engagement, increased attendance for targeted pupils, and a reduction in the attainment gap through the use of drama and creative approaches to learning

Achieving Gold recognises that arts and culture are firmly embedded across our school, with strong leadership, meaningful pupil voice and a vibrant creative community. It also reflects our growing influence within our Trust and beyond, as we share practice and contribute to wider developments in arts education. We are incredibly proud of what our pupils, staff and community have achieved together and remain ambitious to build on this success as we continue our Artsmark journey.
