Attendance

Attendance is of paramount importance at Pyrcroft Grange School. Children need to attend school regularly in order to make good progress and become successful learners. The school aim is to maintain attendance at 96% and above. Children across the whole school are aware of how important attending school regularly is and there are a range of incentives to promote excellent attendance:

  • In Key Stage 1 the class with the best attendance win Snowy the wizard and cheeky monkey, so they can take them on exciting adventures with them for the week.
  • In Key Stage 2 the classes are working towards a pizza lunch treat at the end of half term for the class with the highest attendance.
  • On the last day of term we have a special assembly and all the children who have had 100% attendance for the term receive a special certificate. We put all the names of these children in a basket and pick out two names. The lucky winners receive a book token.
